Join United Labor Credit Union To join United Labor Credit Union, you must be a card-carrying Union member whose Local is headquartered in the Greater Kansas City area. You must also be a member in good standing of your Local Union. To meet Federal banking regulations, you are required to complete an Account/Signature Card, and membership must be accompanied by a copy of your Union Member Card as well as a State-Issued ID. A $50 deposit into your own savings account is your "share" of the credit union. Once your first $50 deposit is made, you are a member-owner of United Labor Credit Union ... NOT a customer. This $50 deposit remains in your savings account at all times, and is your democratic voice in how the credit union operates. Everyone who is a member of United Labor has the same say-so in how the credit credit union is run, no matter how much they have on deposit.
If your employer allows for Direct Deposit or Payroll Deduction, you may complete the Direct Deposit/Payroll Deduction form to make your first deposit, and many deposits to come that will help you to save regularly.
Family Membership Once a Union member joins United Labor Credit Union, membership is also then open to all immediate family of that Union member.
